TATA IPL 2022 – Match no 29 – another loss for Chennai Super Kings

Once again, Chennai Super Kings faltered. It was another loss of the toss and of the game. The never-say-die attitude appears to be missing. Robin Uthappa went cheaply as did Moeen Ali but Rituraj Gaikwad was in form. He held the fort with Ambati Rayudu and even Ravindra Jadeja, the captain, chipped in to put up a total that was not easy to defend. Especially against Gujarat Titans – the table toppers at present who have 5 wins from 6 matches.

In reply, GT won with one ball remaining. David Miller who remained not out with 94 (including 6 sixers) destroyed the bowling attack. Of course, Dwayne Bravo did pick up 3 wickets but a loss is a loss. CSK won the title last year and are the defenders. They have a really tough job ahead. They must gel as a team to remain relevant.
