This has been reported in indianexpress.com dated 26 November 2015.
The festival is in its 3rd year and, since its inception, it has been exposing Goa and India to new sounds of jazz that are currently evolving in Europe. The festival would target the youth, unlike the usual idea of jazz being for a slightly senior audience.
Its all about new sounds - these are important, as they introduce sub genres that connect with all music lovers, as opposed to traditional jazz, which attracts a certain class and is often termed elitist. Goans love music and the state has produced well-known musicians who have traveled to Mumbai and contributed to the evolution of jazz there.
Some of them have made their way to Bollywood.
The festival would have a Green Zone where artists will sell eco-friendly material. Jazz Journal, a comprehensive magazine containing jazz-related articles, will be launched on the occasion. The organizers expect footfalls of around 1,000-1,500 people per day, which is quite a figure to get in Goa. It is expected that music lovers would come from Delhi and Mumbai as well.
