Ex James Bond, Pierce Brosnan, caught with a 10-inch hunting knife

Pierce Brosnan is a well-known cine personality and has acted in the role of superspy 007 James Bond and, as James Bond he used to carry a whole of weapons to help him in is his missions. But, he was embarrassed no end when the TSA searched him out before he boarded a flight to Detroit and discovered a 10-inch long hunting knife on his person.
He wanted to take it along with him in his hand baggage and that is against the law and Brosnan had to undergo a lengthy screening by the airport security staff of Burlington Airport, Vermont. The weapon was revealed during routine scanning of his carry on shoulder bag.
This has been reported in dailymail.co.uk dated 4 August 2015.
The knife was a bone handled folding hunting knife estimated to be five inches when folded and ten inches when extended.
A ban on all knives - except rounded or plastic butter knives – was introduced immediately after the September 11 terror attacks almost 14 years ago. In that terror attack, the hijackers took on permitted box cutters and used them to kill airline staff and, thus, took over the cockpits of four planes.
