This has been reported in news.sky.com dated 24 September 2015.
Chris Brown is due to play in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane from 9 December but, pressure has been growing for the country's government to take a decision on the subject.
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has pledged A$100m (£45m) to combat violence against women. Simultaneously, Australian Minister for Women Michaelia Cash has urged her colleague, Immigration Minister Peter Dutton, to bar the performer. She has explained that people must understand and realize that if you are going to commit domestic violence and then you want to travel around the world there are going to be countries that say to you.
She has also said that Brown cannot come in because he is not the type of character one expects in Australia.
Incidentally, Brown had to postpone a tour of Britain in 2010 after he was denied a visa and in February was declined entry into Canada. Moreover, New Zealand has already ruled Brown ineligible for entry because of the refusal of Britain to give him admission.
