Relativity Media files for bankruptcy – many Hollywood movies in a limbo

Relativity Media has reportedly filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and will sell its TV and film arms. However, it has assured that it would go ahead with the releases of Kristen Wiig's Masterminds and Halle Berry's Kidnap.
This has been reported in bbc.com dated 31 July 2015.
Relativity Media was established in 2004 and has releases that include Oscar-winners The Social Network and The Fighter. The company were also into TV and had made MTV show Catfish. It had also indicated that it would press ahead with a number of international versions of the show as well as a sequel called Truce.
Incidentally, TV drama Limitless, based on the Relativity movie of the same name starring Bradley Cooper, would be screened on CBS this year.
However, it is not very clear as to what would happen for nearly a dozen other films that have in the list Natalie Portman's hotly anticipated western Jane Got A Gun. This movie stars Joel Edgerton and Ewan McGregor and was due for release this September. It was tipped as a possible awards contender.
Obviously, the fates of a whole lot of new movies now hangs in the balance following the filing for bankruptcy protection.
