Juhi Chawla expresses a desire to work again with Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh and Kajol have made a comeback with "Dilwale" and, when Juhi Chawla was asked when fans could see her and Shah Rukh Khan together, her reply was that fans can certainly see the duo come together provided the right script come along. She would love to work with him again. In her words - it is about finding that script and the producer who will agree to put them together.
Tis has been reported in ibnlive.com dated 4 January 2016.
The Shah Rukh Khan - Juhi Chawla pair has have given memorable films like 'Yess Boss', 'Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman' and 'Darr' and Juhi would like to pair up again with her close friend again. They had last worked together in 2005 'Paheli' and, subsequently, have made special appearances in each other's films. They are also co-owners of the Kolkta Knight Riders, the IPL team.
Juhi Chawla is now 48 and she would also like to collaborate with another superstar Aamir Khan, with whom she made her Bollywood debut in "Qayamt Se Qayamat Tak". And, she was quick to add that she should first do a film with Salman Khan as the duo have never shared screen space. That, in her opinion, would be fun.
Juhi will be next seen in 'Chalk n Duster' where she will be co-starring with Shabana Azmi and Divya Dutta - the movie is set for release on January 15.

‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ collected only two percent footfalls in theaters

Superstar Salman Khan’s blockbuster movie ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ had collected over Rs.300 crore at the Indian box office - but, only two percent of Indians actually went to the theaters to see the movie. This two percent is out of approximately 130 crore Indian population. These figures have been made public by an official of a cinema chain.
This has been reported in indianexpress.com dated 18 November 2015.
As per reports, a staggering 74.5 million people, across India, tuned into the TV premiere of the film last month. However, in a session on increasing footfalls in theaters at the ongoing Indywood Film market, it has been revealed that only three crore and 21 lakh people have so far watched the Bollywood blockbuster “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” in cinema halls.
In spite of that, it has managed to earn over Rs.300 crore from Indian theaters.
The reason for this, as explained by an expert, is that 50 percent of Indian population still has no access to cinemas. Interestingly, seven screens cater to one million people in India whereas in the US it is over 100 screens in US.
In India, only 15 percent of total screens constitute multiplexes while the rest are still single screen cinemas.
Therefore, in spite of being the largest producer of films in the world, India still struggles to generate revenue because most people still have no access to screens.
In places like Madhya Pradesh, fans are known to have traveled 50-Km to watch movies and one of the best ways to increase footfalls is to target tier-2, tier-3 and even tier-4 cities.

Kissing scenes in movies – why this fad has never caught on in Bollywood

In the opinion of Bollywood superstar 49-year-old Salman Khan, kissing scenes are not necessary in a film. It seems he has edited the 30 minutes including a kissing scene from Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty’s debut film “Hero” of which he is the producer.
He has said that he has not done any kissing scene in his career – hence, it cannot be good for Sooraj and Athiya to do it. In fact he has added that they also did not want to do a kissing scene.
This has been reported in indianexpress.com dated 8 September 2015.
Of course, kissing has always been taboo in Indian movies – the lips can certainly come as close as possible but, at the precise moment, something dramatic would happen that would lead to a separation – it could be a bird flying away or the sudden arrival of someone on the scene to cause distraction.
Scenes of heroines getting wet in the rains is OK but not the complete lip-lock of two adults because that is vulgar!!
When viewed against the backdrop of hundreds of ads of toothpaste and mouth fresheners, one wonders whether the reason for dislike to kiss is the bad breath.

Scarlett Wilson to make acting debut after teaming up with Rajeev Khandelwal

Latest rumor doing the rounds is that British ‘item girl’ Scarlett Wilson is set to make her acting debut opposite Rajeev Khandelwal in a film set in the 1960s. She had recently impressed actor Salman Khan on the TV reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’.
This has been reported in indianexpress.com dated 6 September 2015.
It seems Salman Khan had been impressed by Scarlett’s dance and had explained to the audience that he had offered her a film a few years back but, she had not accepted that because she felt she was too young.
Scarlett is not new to Indian cinema – she had done item numbers like ‘Imported Kamariya’ and one in ‘Bahubali’ apart from several numbers down South. And, now she is ready to take the plunge - she will now make her acting debut soon in a film reportedly titled ‘Woh Aadmi Bahut Kuchh Jaanta Hai’ opposite ‘Aamir’ star Rajeev Khandelwal.
Incidentally, she is one of the five contestants on the show who are still in contention for bagging the coveted prize.
