As Greg Dyke, chairman of the BFI has remarked - “Cate Blanchett is a compelling and brave actress whose mesmerizing screen presence has captivated audiences since her earliest roles.
The “Elizabeth” actress will now join the elite club of Al Pacino, Mel Brooks, Christopher Lee, Tim Burton,Stephen Frears and Helena Bonham Carter – they are also recipients of BFI Fellowships.
