18-year-old to star in The Little Mermaid


18-year-old actress Chloe Grace Moretz is slated to star in a live-action version of The Little Mermaid. The actress has confirmed about the casting on her social media accounts. It seems she had been waiting for months to share the news.

Universal has been planning the reboot of Hans Christian Andersen's book for over a year and, the story is about a mermaid called Ariel who wants to become a human after falling for a man she saves from drowning.
Richard Curtis is writing the scipt - he has written Four Weddings And A Funeral and Love Actually.
The young star Chloe Grace Moretz has had roles in Dark Shadows, Carrie and If I Stay and will also be seen next in the 5th Wave. She is also having her hands full in making a sequel to the 2014 film Bad Neighbours which starred Seth Rogen and Zac Efron.
