Ice Age beckons - fifth Ice Age movie ‘Collision Course’ to release July 2016


The next instalment of the animated franchise, 'Ice Age', is officially titled 'Ice Age: Collision Course'. This would be the fifth instalment as reported in timesofindia.indiatimes.com dated 8 August 2015.
The new date for its release is planned to be 22 July 2016 instead of 15 July 2016 – this is to ensure that it does not clash with Sony's Ghostbusters and two other pictures, the musical La La Land from Lionsgate and The Lake from EuropaCorp.
As it stands, “Ice Age: Collision Course, is slotted along with Warner Bros’ King Arthur.
Collision Course would be directed by Mike Thurmeier and Galen T Chu Denis Leary and the whole group of Ray Romano, Queen Latifah, John Leguizamo and others are going to return for this go-round.
Ice Age series is all about the survival of a group of mammals of the Paleolithic ice age. The movies in order of release are - Ice Age (2002), Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006), Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009), Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012) and now Ice Age: Collision Course (2016).
