‘Heidi’ based on the children’s novel of 1881 becoming a movie from Hollywood

The story of ‘Heidi’ is about the events in the life of a young girl who lived in the care of her grandfather in the Swiss Alps. Written by Swiss author Johanna Spyri, it was written in 1881 and is a book for not only children but also for those who love children.
‘Heidi’ has been made into films, TV and theatrical adaptations and the latest venture is by Sheetal Talwar of Vistaar Entertainment who is producing it with Simon Wright of Big Tree Productions. The script is written by Paul Watson and the movie would be shot on location in the Swiss Alps later this year.
This has been reported in indianexpress.com dated 20 August 2015.
In the opinion of Talwar, who had produced the 2007 National-Award-winning film “Dharm”, the character of Heidi is relevant even today even though the novel was written in 1881.
