Sets of the film Padmavati in Jaipur vandalised, Bhansali cancels shooting

Shooting of the film Padmavati was going on in Jaipur when a group of people came on the sets and damaged them. The group is called Rajput Karni Sena. They Have alleged about “distorting history” of Chittor queen Rani Padmini and 14th century emperor Alauddin Khilji.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali was slapped and assaulted by Rajput Karni Sena workers. They staged a protest at Jaigarh fort in Jaipur where the shooting was going on. Protesters ran amok and damaged cameras and other shooting equipment while raising slogans and hurling abuses in Hindi.
Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor has lambasted the fringe group and the entire Bollywood community has come down heavily on the incident. Director Karan Johar, actors Farhan Akhtar and Alia Bhatt have taken to Twitter to vent their ire. In the aftermath of this sordid incident, Bhansali and his crew have cancelled the shooting.

It was all about the magic of Indian cinema and a team of Bollywood cine stars wowed the audience in Houston, Texas with their rich offerings. The Bollywood celebrities performed as a part of their “Dream Team” concert and enthralled thousands of fans till past midnight and their very first show and the only one in Texas took off with a bang. Before starting, the stars had a meet-and-greet session with the fans in which Katrina Kaif charmed all with her smile while Alia Bhat sang few lines of her song.
The stars have plans to tour USA for two weeks and already have back to back shows lined up. This weekend, they will perform in San Jose, and Orlando and next weekend in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York, before heading back home. Such shows across America is a cultural phenomenon and also a local economic booster.
