This has been reported in nzherald.co.nz dated 3 July 2016.
The Teenage Dream hitmaker's Twitter breakthrough has happened nearly two months after she mooted the idea of a social media break - she had revealed that she turns her phone off for at least 20 minutes a day in a bid to get a little peace and quiet.
She feels there could be something like Shabbat that was not based on religion but was a kind of a worldwide day where people stay away from phones - like a movement. Kids of today have no idea of what a life without internet is like. Therefore, it would be great if the world implemented an actual day of real rest for the phone.
