Kung Fu Panda 3 villain would be endowed with supernatural powers

“Kung Fu Panda 3″ is scheduled to release on January 29, 2016 and its filmmaker Jennifer Yuh Nelson has revealed that the next villain in the franchise is bigger and even more intimidating and endowed with supernatural powers.

Nelson, who co-directed the film with Alessandro Carloni, has also let out that Kai (voiced by JK Simmons), a bull, is a villain and that Po is completely ill-equipped to face Kai.
In the words of Nelson – he is somebody that is beyond Tai Lung, beyond Shen. In short, he is a villain that Po is completely ill-equipped to face.
The new antagonist sports large horns, wears leather armor, and uses two jade swords with chains attached as his go-to weapon – he obviously, stands apart from his predecessors. It is understood that Kai will be seen in a face-off with the characters in “cool” fight scenes with a dash of humor.
