West Bengal tourism to ride piggy-back on Amitabh Bachhan starrer 'Te3n'

West Bengal tourism plans to ride piggy-back on Amitabh Bachhan starrer 'Te3n' to attract tourists to the state. The producers of the film have recently approached the West Bengal tourism department with a proposal of co-branding with the movie 'Te3n' which has been shot extensively in the city of Kolkata.
This has been reported in indianexpress.com dated 6 March 2016.
'Te3n' is a thriller produced by Sujoy Ghosh and directed by debutant Ribhu Dasgupta. It is being shot in West Bengal and stars Amitabh Bachchan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui and the state government wants to use it to attract tourists. A proposal to this effect has been put up and the modalities are being worked out. West Bengal Tourism is keen to gets a credit in the trailer.
There are already plans to have a Bengal tourism advertisement along with the film trailer because it will soon launch its TV commercial 'Experience Bengal — Sweetest Part of India’ featuring Shah Rukh Khan. A number of hit Hindi films have been shot in the city even in recent years, and this would be the first time that Bengal tourism will be promoted through a Bollywood film.
'Te3n' also stars Vidya Balan, who feels Kolkata is her second home, in a special appearance. It was shot in different parts of the city like the Raj-era Writers Buildings. Incidentally, Bollywood has been associated with several movies like the 2012 superhit mystery “Kahaani” starring Vidya Balan. In the same year, Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor’s “Barfi!” presented the beauty of the little explored parts of the city and the mystic charm of the hills of Darjeeling. And, more recently, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone’s father-daughter tale of “Piku” was also shot in the city.

Vidya Balan ready to act in Kahaani sequel

Actress Vidya Balan has admitted that shooting for film “Te3n” was a sort of preparation for her role in Sujoy Ghosh’s sequel to “Kahaani” for which she had bagged the Filmfare Award for best actress. The film 'Te3n' has stars Amitabh Bachchan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
This has been reported in indianexpress.com dated 19 February 2016.
In the film 'Te3n'. Vidya Balan has made a special appearance and, in her own words, it was fun because Sujoy Ghosh produced the film and Vidya had a chance to go back to Kolkata for the shoot.
On Kolkata she has often claimed that Bengal is her second home. She has portrayed memorable roles in Bengali movies like “Parineeta” and “Kahaani” and she has been mistaken as a Bengali. But, she hails from Kerala and was born and brought up in Kolkata - so she considers Bengal as her second home.
There had been rumors that the sequel to 'Kahaani' had been shelved but Sujoy Ghosh has clarified that the film was definitely on and was in pre-production stages. The shooting would begin soon.
