The first musical was set in Greece and was about the attempts of a bride-to-be to find her real father. It featured 20 Abba songs including Dancing Queen, The Name Of The Game and Super Trouper.

Incidentally, Mamma Mia is the 9th most successful film of all time at UK cinemas, and ABBA's founding members and songwriters Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Anderson were deeply involved in both the film and musical productions of Mamma Mia and are expected to play a role in creating the sequel.
ABBA came inti limelight when they won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Waterloo. Subsequently, the Swedish quartet became one of the most successful groups of the late 70s and early 80s and had 9 UK number one singles. The number of albums they have sold in in the region of 200 million.
